It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Peter, who passed away on October 18, 2026.

Peter was a loving, humorous, and outgoing man who brought laughter, joy, and warmth to the lives of those around him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his wonderful personality, and the special bonds he shared with his children, fiancée, brother, family, and friends. Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, the love he shared and the memories he created will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten. Rest peacefully Peter.

Peter is lovingly survived by his children, Kevin Matas, Alex Matas, Kristina Hamilton and Lareine Matas, his grandchildren Mason Hamilton, Apollo Matas, and Romeo Matas, his brother Luis Matas, his fiancée, MaryAnn Duchens and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
