It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Encarnacion Gonzalez, age 92, on Friday April 4, 2025. Encarna’s unwavering faith, ever-present positivity, grace and strength enriched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Encarna’s passion for travel took her across the globe, visiting nearly every continent and making memories. Whether travelling with family, friends, or even alone, her adventurous spirit filled her life with remarkable experiences.
Encarna is survived by her children, Javier (Penny) Baeza and Michele (Dennis) Kelleher; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that all loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her son, Jose Manuel (“Manolito”) Baeza and daughter-in-law Waleska (Wally) Visalden.
Her infectious laughter and positive spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all of those whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Descansa en paz con Dios, Encarna.

Post an EventOur Tia Encarna was an incredible woman who raised an incredible family. I have nothing if not wonderful memories of Tia from my childhood. Her kindness, her generosity, and her quiet wisdom are what stand out from those childhood years. She never failed to call me on my birthday. The last time I was with her (in Houston), it was something very special, and we all were amazed and delighted at her perfect memory of places and days past. I was blessed to have her as my Tia. While we will all miss her very much, I find solace in knowing my own mother has been reunited with her best friend. With love and sympathy, Daniel and Michaelene Cruz
Tia, I know you are finally resting and are up there playing poker with Manny and chismeando with my Abuela. You were always a beacon of strength and you were the most optimistic person I will ever know. I will miss our conversations, but most of all, I will miss you. I love you. Andrea
Will miss her every day!your mom was a positive angel, that would only bring joy and happiness! Never heard her say she felt bad or any negative comments. I learned a lot from her! She was a inspiration of motherhood, family, and friendship. I will miss her always! Loved her like a mom! May she rest in peace, next to all her family that are now reunited!
Sad to hear this news However I know she was a woman of faith. I still remember her visits to Asturias when I was a little boy in Spain. She always welcomed us during Christmas for many years in Miami Rest in peace!
Arsenia, Gely y Jorgelina
Tía, as Javi said, you touched the lives of so many both family and lifetime friends. I am sure you are looking down with Manny, Nino, Maria and Manuel and watching your loved ones. Your faith gave you the strength to get you the difficult times in your life. You will be missed and remembered by so many. I am glad that you are finally at peace. Love, Tati
