PARK, ELEANOR LOUISE passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 97 in Miami, Florida surrounded by loved ones.   Born in Port Elgin, New Brunswick, Canada, a small village located near the Nova Scotia border on December 12, 1922, she grew up in Canada and later graduated from nurses training in 1944, from Hôtel-Dieu de l’Assomption Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.   At the age of 28, Eleanor moved to Florida seeking a warmer climate and later became a naturalized United States citizen.  She met William Park, a handsome attorney and they were married on April 15, 1961, in a small chapel at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on West Flagler Street in Miami.   She worked as a private duty nurse for many years, compassionately caring for ill and elderly patients and as a registered nurse for Jackson Memorial Hospital, Baptist Hospital and HealthSouth Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables (11 yrs.), until her retirement.  She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, reading the Miami Herald, and watching the daily mass on EWTN.   Some of Eleanor’s fondest memories included summer trips back to her hometown of New Brunswick for family reunions, singalongs with her sisters around the piano and lobster boils along the coast of Shediac Bay in New Brunswick, a town known as the “Lobster Capital of the World”.   She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and is survived by her Husband of 58 years, William Park, Son Stephen Park (Maria C. Park), and Daughter Laura E. Rosa (Roberto Rosa) and two beloved Grandchildren, Nathaniel Rosa (22) and Hannah Rosa (20), Sisters Eunice Whitehead, Toronto, ON; Ola Williams, Port Elgin, NB; Albertine Comeau, Moncton, NB; Esther Fearon, Greater Lakeburn, NB; and many nephews and nieces.   She was predeceased in death by her Father Adolphe Comeau, Mother Beatrice Leger Comeau (103), and Sisters Rita Webster (97), Ida, Maria and Marguerite-Marie.   There will be a catholic funeral mass held on Friday, March 13th 11:00 am at Epiphany Catholic Church, 8235 SW 57th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33143 and interment immediately following at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Doral, Florida 33172.   Eleanor will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.   The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in memory of Eleanor L.
